In many cases, a cosmetic company will give a proprietary name to some of its active ingredients. It's worth your while to examine their documentation to find out what they're really supposed to do. Put on your hype-detecting glasses, and look for facts, real controlled trials and statistics.

Pictures of beautiful celebrities who recommend their product do not count. If they did really try the product, they doubtless already had perfect skin before they used it anyway.
